Whilst guest numbers are fewer over winter, the 'locals' seem to be more prevalent. Kangaroos are plentiful at Baudin Beach at present and careful driving is essential.
Winter pastures are providing plenty of feed for both kangaroos and Tamar Wallabies.
With the reduced visitor numbers in the National Parks, now is a good time to observe some of the rarer island wildlife including echidnas, koalas, platypus, goannas, and little penguins.
The added bonus is that tiger snakes and pygmy copperheads are in hibernation.
So, come on over and alternate your holiday between visiting the 'locals' and relaxing in comfort with the warmth of the wood fire in your living room at Wallaby Bobs. The more hardy can enjoy pool, table tennis or darts in our 'Kidzone'.
